IDENTITY of the SOUL

Lindesnes, Norway

We are delighted to announce that Identity of the Soul has now taken up permanent residence in the “mountain hall” at Lindesnes Lighthouse Museum. For the lighthouse, this is the right project at the right time and they look forward to showing it to visitors as well as taking it on tour.

Lindesnes Lighthouse Museum is a national museum covering most aspects of navigation and Norwegian nautical history: the history of lighthouses, aids to navigation, historical harbours and pilotage. Lindesnes Lighthouse is also the millennium site in Vest-Agder County: a meeting place and a cultural melting pot where past meets present and local experience meets national and international perspectives.

There are several thematic events coming up at the lighthouse where people will be invited to experience Identity of the Soul from different perspectives and contexts: cultural, historical and ethical. In Kvinesdal, Id was presented at a workshop about video-art including a show for an invited Arabic speaking refugee audience which was very well received. In 2011 Id will be touring all 15 secondary schools of Vest Agder.
